Who we are

Grace at the Gate offers one-on-one spiritual companionship for individuals in hospice and their loved ones, providing gentle presence, prayer, and support during end-of-life and grief.

Founded by Megan White, Grace at the Gate offers gentle, one-on-one spiritual companionship for individuals and families navigating end-of-life, grief, loss, and profound life transitions. We meet people exactly where they are—emotionally, spiritually, and humanly—without judgment, pressure, or expectation.

Our Heart & Purpose

Facing death, grief, or deep spiritual questioning can feel isolating—even when surrounded by loved ones. Many people carry unspoken fears, unanswered questions, or a longing for peace they don’t know how to name.

Grace at the Gate was created to hold space for those moments.

We walk beside individuals who are:

  • Preparing for the end of life

  • Grieving the loss of a loved one

  • Seeking comfort, reassurance, or spiritual grounding

  • Wanting to feel connected—to God, to loved ones, or to something beyond this life

  • Carrying emotional or spiritual weight they don’t know how to release

Our purpose is not to “fix” or rush anything—but to listen deeply, honor each journey, and offer gentle guidance toward peace.

What Makes Grace at the Gate Different

Grace at the Gate is not therapy, religion, or hospice care—though it can beautifully complement all three.

We offer something rare: presence without agenda.

There is no script. No pressure to believe a certain way. No requirement to have the “right” words.

Each session is shaped around the individual’s needs and beliefs, whether they are rooted in faith, spirituality, or simply a desire for comfort and understanding.

Our work may include:

  • Quiet companionship and conversation

  • Spiritual reassurance and prayer (if desired)

  • Guidance through grief and emotional release

  • Helping individuals feel at peace with their life, relationships, or transition

  • Supporting families as they navigate anticipatory grief or loss

Everything we do is grounded in compassion, respect, and dignity.

Our Founder

Megan White brings a deeply intuitive, compassionate presence to her work—one shaped by lived experience, spiritual sensitivity, and a profound respect for life’s sacred transitions. Her calling is to stand at the “gate” with others during moments that are often misunderstood, avoided, or feared—offering calm, steady support when it is needed most. Megan believes no one should face the end of life or grief alone, and that peace is possible—even in the hardest moments—when someone is willing to truly listen and walk beside you.

A Gentle Invitation

If you’re here, it likely means something in you is seeking comfort, clarity, or peace. You don’t have to have it all figured out. You don’t have to be strong. You don’t have to walk this alone. Grace at the Gate is here to meet you with warmth, understanding, and unwavering compassion—one conversation, one breath, one sacred moment at a time.
